KARACHI: Sale of dead animals’ meat to be checked

KARACHI, March 18: Sindh chief secretary K. B. Rind has taken notice of illegal slaughter-houses and alleged sale of dead animals’ meat in Karachi.

Talking to newsmen, the chief secretary expressed concern over sale of dead animals meat’s in “tikka kababs” in main commercial areas, including Saddar and Empress Market, on push-carts.

His attention was drawn towards the fake stamps over the dead and illegally slaughtered animals, in connivance with certain officials of the concerned departments.—PPI
