Hike in oil prices flayed

By Our Staff Reporter

RAWALPINDI, March 17: The local leaders of Mutahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) have criticized the government the recent increase in oil prices terming it an anti-people decision.

This is yet another bombshell that the Jamali government has dropped on the poor people, said the MMA local chief, Mohammad Abbas Butt while talking to Dawn.

He said previous governments used to revise petroleum prices on quarterly basis but the incumbent rulers have focused all their attention on raising petroleum prices randomly.

As a result, prices have soared manifolds after the present government took power.
