PML-N to work with PPP: Shahbaz

By Masood Haider

NEW YORK, March 17: Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) leader Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday called on all political parties to shun politics of confrontation and retribution and forge an alliance for continued democracy in Pakistan.

Speaking at a meeting of PML-N workers here, the former chief minister of Punjab, who is recovering from a life-saving intestine surgery in New York, struck a compromising note in his speech saying “we should forgive and forget” and learn to work with our adversaries.

Mr Sharif signalled that the PML-N would work with Pakistan Peoples Party and other political entities to forge an enduring alliance for the good of the country and its people.

Earlier, Khawaja Asaf, a former minister now an MNA, lambasted the military government for usurping power from the elected representatives of the people. He said that the legal framework order (LFO) was completely without and legal authority and against the Constitution.
