DURBAN, March 16: Kenya opening batsman Kennedy Obuya returned to consult a doctor on Sunday in the hope of recovering his fitness before Thursday’s World Cup semifinal against India.
“I still feel numbness in my fingers,” Obuya said, a day after he was hit on the left elbow by a rising delivery from Australia’s Brett Lee.
“The doctor told me he will monitor the condition over the next 48 hours,” said Otieno, “I am hopeful it should be much better by then.”
Obuya collapsed in pain after being dismissed by Lee but X-rays showed only bruising.
