No waiting rooms, lights at Kasur bus stand

By Our Correspondent

KASUR, March 16: The Kasur General Bus Stand has no waiting rooms, lighting arrangements, potable water or sanitation.

Passengers have to brave the vagaries of the weather as well as the sight and smell of heaps of garbage lying around. There is no water even for drinking or ablution.

The total lack of security arrangements is evident in the fact that none of the tubelights at the place is functional. Passengers feel insecure in the evening when pickpockets can easily deprive them of cash under cover of darkness.

According to an estimate, hundreds of passengers including women and children use the bus stand daily.

The passengers have urged the high-ups to arrange lights, ensure provision of drinking water, adopt security measures and build waiting rooms at the place.
