KARACHI: 25 cars, 41 motorcycles taken away in 7 days

KARACHI, March 16: Sixty-six vehicles — 25 cars and 41 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city in the past one week, the police said.

According to figures provided by the Central Police Office, six cars were hijacked and nine others were stolen in the past week, March 10-16.

Most of the cars were stolen/hijacked in Ferozabad, Kharadar, Gulistan-i- Jauhar, Artillery Maidan and Al-Falah police limits.

Eight motorcycles were hijacked. Thirty-three others were stolen.

Most of the motorcycles were stolen/hijacked in Saeeda-bad, Garden, Sachal, Gulzar-i-Hijri, Saddar, SITE, Defence, Aziz Bhatti, Korangi Industrial Area and Nazimabad police limits.

The police claimed to have recovered 45 vehicles — 15 cars and 30 motorcycles — in the past one week.
