KARACHI: Water shortage in many areas

KARACHI, March 16: Water supply to different parts of the city will be affected badly on Monday due to a power breakdown at the Dhabeji (phase-III) pump house on Sunday.

According to a senior officials of the city government’s water and sanitation department, power supply to the pump house went off at 6.30am on Sunday and was restored at 7.30am the same day, causing a shortfall of 40 million-gallons of water.

The localities whose supply would be affected on Monday include Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Jamshed and Saddar towns.

CLOSURE: The localities where water supply would remain suspended on Monday under the weekly water-holi-day system are: North Nazimabad, Federal B. Area, Buffer Zone, Shadman Town and Nazimabad.
