KARACHI: Withdrawal of KBCA notices demanded

KARACHI, March 16: The Private Schools Management Association has urged the government to immediately revoke the notices served on them by the Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) for regularization of school buildings, otherwise they would observe strike and close down their institutions.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday at the Karachi Press Club, Zahid Rafiq Butt, president of the association, slammed the KBCA for what he said causing panic and harassment among private school owners and claimed that the objective of the KBCA was to create bad blood between the government and private school owners.

He said even at the government level the fact was accepted but some ‘hidden hands’ have always been in the forefront to damage their image and create hurdles in their working.—PPI
