Man killed by thieves

SUKKUR, March 15: A house owner was shot dead and his two brothers and mother were injured by thieves in Islam Colony here on Friday night.

Some thieves barged into the house of Mulazim Hussain Leghari to commit a theft.

On hearing some voices, the family woke up and challenged the thieves who opened fire.

As a result Mr Leghari was killed and his brothers, Khalid Hussain and Nobat Hussain, and mother, Hajran, were injured.

The thieve fled without any interception.

The police have registered a case against six unidentified persons.

Later, the residents of Islam Colony held a demonstration against the police failure to control crime.
