ISLAMABAD March 13: Two separate requisitions seeking fresh sessions of the National Assembly and Senate could not be filed on Wednesday, would be filed on Saturday, opposition sources said here on Thursday.

The requisition for the National Assembly, signed by 114 MNAs on Tuesday, could not be filed due to expiry of office time which will now be filed after two days Ashura holidays.

Similarly, signatures of the required number of opposition senators were obtained on the requisition for seeking Senate session after their oath-taking on Wednesday.

The objective of requisitioning both houses at the same time was to continue pressure on the government over the issue of LFO.
