DADU, March 13: One person was killed and 40 were injured when a Larkana-bound coach collided with a pickup on the Indus Highway near Chhachhar town on Wednesday night.

Akhtar Hussain, 30, was killed and Noor Mohammad, Mohammad Ashraf, Ghulam Shabbir, Gul, Imdad, Ali, Ahmad Ali, Mohammad Moosa, Irfan Magsi, Manzoor, Deedar, Nazar, Shabana, Yasmeen and 26 others were injured in the head-on collision between the passenger coach (P-0017) and the pickup (LSG-0922) at the Chhachhar bus stand.

Those injured were taken to Sann, Sehwan, Dadu and Bhan Saeedabad hospitals.

The Chhachhar police have impounded both the vehicles.
