MIRPURKHAS, March 12: The harvesting of wheat crop has started in the district and the food department has set up 11 wheat procurement centres.

According to food department authorities, a target of purchasing 50,000 wheat bags has been fixed for the district.

OMBUDSMAN: Sindh Ombudsman Justice (retd) Haziqul Khairi has said he has received many complaints against Nazims for their involvement in corruption and misuse of powers.

He was speaking at an open kutchehry here on Wednesday.

He said he had received over eight thousand applications from people last year, 6,000 of which had been disposed of. Mr Khairi opposed the government proposal to induct ombudsman at district level.—Correspondent
