KARACHI, March 12: The present day challenges demand national consensus at every level and call for the presentation of all the issues before the parliament in order to find out their solution.

This was stated by a former president, Rafique Tarar, in his meeting with Mamnoon Hussain, provincial Secretary General of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, who called on him here on Wednesday. Mr Tarar, who was on a private visit to the city, pointed out that the country and the nation faced numerous challenges and issues and they should be tackled as per the democratic traditions on the floor of the House.

Emphasizing the need for improving image of the nation, he said that debates on all the important issues in parliament would not only enhance the credibility of the outcome, but also endorse the government’s claim of having restored democracy and supremacy of the parliament and send a message to the world that Pakistan nation was a united and organized nation.

According to the provincial Additional Secretary General of the party, Khwaja Tariq Nazeer, the two leaders agreed that at this time of trial, it would not be in the interest of the country and the nation to remain divided on issues.
