National Junior championship from March 22
LAHORE, March 11: Punjab Hockey Association will organise a preliminary round of the national junior championship here from March 22 atthe Nnational Stadium.
“Six teams including Gujranwala, Swat, Sargodha, Dera Ghazi Khan, Hyderabad and Lahore will take part in the Nine-day activity,” said Saleem Nazim, Secretary PHA here Tuesday.
He said the event will be played on single league basis and Lahore will clash Swat in the opening match.
PHA official said technical officials have been appointed for the smooth conduct of the tournament.
Former Olympian Akhlaq Ahmad has been tournament director and Ghulam Ghous has been named as tournament officer.

Judges; Afzal Manna, Nazir Ahmad, Muhammad Pervez, Naeem Alma, Muhammad Ayub, Prof Rashid Chisti, Muhammad Tahir, Muhammad Yaqoob, Arshad Masih.
Umpires: Munawar Hussain, Rana Liaquat, Haroon Saeed, Musadaq, Anwar Ahmad, Muhammad Ali, Ghulam Hussain, Sohail Anjum, Mubarik, Muslihuddin, Zia ud din, Omar Khan Burki.
