Technical course

ISLAMABAD, March 9: A technical officials course for the 9th SAF Games organised by the Pakistan Amateur Athletic Federation (PAAF) began here on Sunday.

The course which is being attended by about 135 officials from all over the country was inaugurated by Shaheen Khan, the vice president of PAAF.

Khalid Mahmood, the PAAF secretary highlighted the salient features of the course and underlined the need for preparing officials in accordance with the recent changes by the International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF) in rules.

Lectures were delivered by Dr. Abdul Waheed Mughal, Syed Habib Shah, Salman Iqbal Butt, Qamar Zaman, Muhammad Arshad Ramzan and some others.

Meanwhile a two-day ranking meet is due to open at the Jinnah Stadium on Monday in which all equipment to be used in the SAF Games will be tested.
