KARACHI: Milk price increased by Re1 a litre

KARACHI, March 9: The Dairy Farmers Association Karachi has announced an increase of rupee one a litre in the price of milk with immediate effect.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the association on Sunday. The meeting was also attended by middle men and representatives of shopkeepers.

The price has been increased because of the rise in transport cost following the hike in petroleum prices.

The association gave indication that the price might be increased by Rs3 a litre in the near future. — PPI
