KARACHI, March 9: The demolition squad of the Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA), as per directives of its chief controller, Brig A.S. Nasir, demolished various illegal constructions in the Korangi Industrial Area, Qayumabad, Saddar Bazar, Keamari and Metroville Scheme No. 33.

According to details, the squad demolished illegal constructions on plot 363, sector 7-A and plot LS-3 (ST-3/1) in the Korangi Industrial Area.

The demolition squad also pulled down the pillars of the fourth floor of Sir Syed Hospital on plot No.887 block A Qayumabad.

Another demolition team of the KBCA demolished the rolling shutters and walls of a shop on plot 84 SB-4 Saddar Bazar.

Meanwhile, during another demolition operation two illegally constructed second floors, on plot S53, 53 A and 23, in Javed Baharia Society Keamari, were demolished. RCC walls and columns of both the buildings were hammered down.

A fourth KBCA team demolished two illegal shops on plot No-A-1920, Metroville III scheme 33.

The above demolition actions were taken in the presence of the Town Building Control Officer, Korangi Town, Agha Maqsood Abbas, Deputy Controller Parvez Akhtar, demolition officers Nazrul Hasnain Mohammadi and Babar Khan and the KBCA police.—APP
