Three ties decided

LAHORE, March 6: Three more matches were decided in the Inter-varsity women’s hockey championship at the National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.

Punjab University played two matches and won both, while Lahore College, University lost both its matches.

Punjab University trounced Lahore College, University 8-0. Ayesha Arif and Rabia Qadir scored two goals each. Leena Afroze, Sabeeha Mahmood, Sonia Khan and Beenash Hayat added a goal each.

In another match, Punjab University beat Peshawar University 8-0. Rabia scored three goals while Ayesha two. Leena Afroze, Sabeeha Mehmood and Beenash struck a goal each.

In the third match, Karachi University struggled to beat Lahore College, University 1-0.

Shakeela scored a field goal in the third minute of play for the winners.
