LONDON, March 5: English cricket supremo Tim Lamb on Wednesday vowed to fight any move to impose financial penalties over England’s refusal to play their match in Zimbabwe.
Lamb also said he had heard nothing from Zimbabwean cricket officials to suggest they would not go ahead with their planned tour of England this summer.
England refused to travel to Harare for the game on Feb 13 and as well as forfeiting four points, could face claims for damages by the International Cricket Council and the Zimbabwe Cricket Union.—AFP
