KARACHI: Shortage of water in Keamari Town

KARACHI, March 5: Residents of several localities in Keamari Town complained on Wednesday that they were facing immense hardship due to irregular water supply and deteriorating sanitary condition in their areas.

The lamented that all their complaints and reminders addressed to the concerned authorities had failed to get any response. They said that no serious attempt had been made to ensure garbage lifting, cleaning and other sanitation work regularly. They pointed out that inadequate and irregular water supply had added to their miseries which had now reached at an unbearable level.

People living in Lasi Para and its adjoining areas along the Hub River Road said the constant sewage overflow from the dilapidated pipelines and drains had almost destroyed many roads in their localities. They deplored the concerned authorities’ lack of interest and lethargy in getting sewerage system and roads repaired and provide the citizens an inhabitable environment.
