DADU, March 4: A team of the district administration paid surprise visits to the Government Middle Schools for Boys and the Government Middle School for Girls, Amri, on Tuesday.

Led by the EDO, revenue, Allah Ditto Shar, the team found both the schools closed during working hours.

The EDO, revenue, sent a report against 16 teachers and two watchmen of the schools to the DCO for action.

DEMO: A large number of teachers of the district staged a demonstration outside the press club here on Tuesday to protest against their dismissal.

Talking to the protesters, Abdul Hameed Memon and Ali Asghar Birhamani said about 180 graduates were appointed as teachers on merit two months back but the EDO, education, issued their dismissal orders.
