KARACHI, March 4: Eight ships carrying containers, steel rails and to load naphtha are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Pretty River, Kota Wangsa, Tarpon Clipper to unload and load containers and general cargo and Panos-G to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of as many.

The ships, which departed included Izumo, Ocean Luna, LT. Grand and Eastern Highway, while Kota Wangsa, Pretty River, Al-Chiba, and Panos-G are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side totalling 96,449 tons comprising 27,461 tons of export cargo including 882 tons of rice and 68,988 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Koo Yang, to load 25,000 tons of naphtha, Merkur Sea, Hyundai Future, Al-Manakh, Mar Challenger and Sima Bahar, with containers, Al-Cyonida, with 70,700 tons of crude oil and Winter, with steel rails.
