Published March 2, 2003

HANGU, March 1: Senator-elect from Orakzai tribal agency, Mohammad Hussain Al-Hashmi, has said that the federal government resorted to unethical and illegal methods in the Senate elections to win more seats.

The government abducted MNAs and used illegal methods to ditch the Mutahidda Majlis-i-Amal in the Senate elections, Mr Hashmi alleged while talking to newsmen here on Saturday.

He alleged the government also concealed a ballot paper cast in favour of an MMA candidate.
