ISLAMABAD, Feb 28: Sprinters Azhar Samdani and Nazim Shah were Friday named in the Pakistan athletics squads for this month’s SAF Games.

The selectors of the Pakistan Amateur Athletic Federation (PAAF) watched the athletes during the two-day trials held at the Jinnah Stadium before naming both the men’s and women’s squads.

Squads:

Men: Azhar Samdani, Nazim Shah (100m), Zulfiqar Ali, Dilshad (200m), Sagheer Ahmed, Sajid (400m), Imran Ali, Arshad Fazal (800m), Atta Meeran and Zulfiqar Ali (1500m), Waris Masseh, Noshad Ali (5000m), Mumtaz Ahmed, Abdul Rashid (110m hurdles), Iftikhar Hussain, Qaiser Shamshad (400m hurdles),, Allah Ditta, Faryad Hussain (3000m steeplechase), Naseer Ahmed, Rehmat Ali (marathon),, Ahmed Bila, M. Riaz (high jump), Waseem Khan, Asif (long jump), Zafar Iqbal, M. Shah (triple jump), Ashraf Ali, Hafiz Imtiaz (shot put), Imran Mirza, Asim Haleem (discus throw), Irfan Hussain, Abdul Razzaq (javelin throw), Nadeem Khan, Ghulam Shabbir (hammer throw).
