KARACHI, Feb 28: The Boeing company before the delivery of Boeing 777 aircraft for induction into the fleet of Pakistan International Airlines will provide training to 300 engineers and mechanics of the national flag carrier, said Boeing company’s Director International, Sales, Miguel Santos, and the Marketing Manager, Lewis Brenson, here on Friday.

They were briefing newsmen in a local hotel.

Pointing out that training was part of the package signed between PIA and Boeing for providing eight 777 Boeing aircraft, they said according to the agreement the first 777 200 ER would be delivered by January 2004, the second in February 2004 and the third in March 2004, and two Boeing 777- 200 LR would be delivered in 2006 and the last three 777-300 ER by 2008.

They recalled the background of PIA and the Boeing company’s relationship which extended to 40 years.
