KARACHI, Feb 26: Prof Adibul Hasan Rizvi has been honoured by the Royal College of Surgeons with a Hunterian Professorship on a lecture which he delivered at the college in mid-February. The lecture was titled ‘Paediatric Urolithiasis: The Changing Pattern With a Peep Into the Future’.

The lecture is named after John Hunter, the founder of scientific surgery. The Hunterian lectures were founded under the Hunterian Foundation at the end of the 19th century.

They are highly regarded and are awarded every year after stiff competition, said a press release of the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation.

The award of the professorship to Prof Rizvi is an honour for all Pakistani surgeons and physicians, added the handout.
