By Our Correspondent

TAXILA, Feb 24: The Tehsil Nazim, Sadeeq Khan, has asked the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) to install street lights, improve sanitary condition and repair roads through which processions will pass during Muharram.

The meeting, which was attended by officials of local and Tehsil administration, discussed arrangements for the holy month of Muharram. The Nazim said all necessary maintenance work should be carried out on war-footing.

In a separate meeting, which was presided over by Tehsil Police Officer DSP Farooq Bhatti, security arrangements at Imambargahs and mosques were reviewed.

The meeting was told that a foolproof security plan would be chalked out for the twin cities of Taxila and Wah Cantt to avert any terrorist act.

Police officials and personnel of law enforcement agencies would be deployed at all sensitive points, including Imambargahs.
