DHAKA, Feb 23: The ruling BNP-led four-party coalition managed to pass the controversial bill to indemnify those involved in the recent army-led joint operation against criminals, on Sunday, amidst a rowdy protest by members of the opposition benches.

The members of the opposition Awami League (AL) and the lone member of Bangladesh Krishak Sramik Janata League walked out of the house in protest against the passage of the bill by voice vote.
