LAHORE: Senate election

LAHORE, Feb 22: Candidates for the Senate election, due to be held on Monday, can take back their nomination papers by 12 noon on Sunday.

The PML-Q, the PPP, and the PML-N have put up candidates for the Punjab seats. Parties are making adjustments with each other to be able to win maximum seats.

The PML-Q is expecting more than 10 seats in the Punjab.

Ministers have been made in-charge for the campaign of the ruling party candidates. MPAs have been asked not to leave Lahore.

Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi will personally meet MPAs and ministers on Sunday to finalize a strategy for the election.
