NOWSHERA, Feb 22: NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah has said that the government is determined to abolish quota system in the province during the next three years.

Speaking at the launching ceremony of Micro Credit scheme “Azmat” under the auspices of the District Armed Services Board on Saturday he said that prior to the abolition of quota system the government would have to provide all basic facilities to the people of Fata to bring them at par with the developed areas.

Appreciating the launching of the scheme the governor said that lending trend was best solution to ease un-employment problems and could also generate employment opportunities.

He maintained that the success of such a useful process was mainly dependent upon the attitudes of both the lenders as well as the beneficiaries towards the cause.

Because, positive approach and sincerity of the concerned parties together with their devoted and hectic efforts was must to make any entrepreneurship a success, he added.

He said, it had always been observed that such credits were utilized for non-productive purposes by the beneficiaries due to which not only they failed to reimburse the amount but also created difficulties.
