Habibians make clean sweep

KARACHI, Feb 21: Habibians made a clean sweep in the All Karachi Annual Inter-School Athletics Championship organised by the District Office Education, City District Government Karachi, at the Habib Public School.

The Habibians bagged the Seniors Trophy with 61 points, the Middlers Trophy with 23 points and the Juniors Trophy with 29 points.

All in all, 25 schools in the city participated in this Athletic Meet.

In the Juniors Section with 20 leading schools of the city participating, Habib Public School was first with 29 points, followed by GBBS Delhi No.1, second, with 15 points, while the third place was tied between PMA School Mariupur and GBBS Tayyab Ali Alvi with 12 points apiece. Habib Malik Public School was fifth with three points secured in the 200 metres dash and The Educator-3 (Beacon House) sixth.

In the Middlers section 22 schools were seen in action. Habib Public School were the champions with 23 points, Madressah Taleem-ul-Islam was second, with 18 points, St. Patrick’s High School third, with 11 points, followed by Falcon House Grammar School fourth, with eight points, The Educator-3 (Beacon House) and Deva Academy tied in sixth place with six points apiece, Falcon House Grammar (3), seventh, with five points and P.M.A. School Mariupur eighth with four points.

In the Seniors Section with 25 top schools participating, the Habibians displayed their immense talent, securing 61 points.

The Habibians were followed by Madressh Talim-ul-Islam second, with 24 points, St. Patrick’s High School third, with 23 points, Little Folks School fourth with 10 points, HB Malik Public School fifth, with eight points and S.M.S. Agha Khan School sixth with six points.
