KARACHI, Feb 19: Despite the clear instructions by the district and sessions judge, South, and judicial magistrate, 8th South, Sindh Health department, despite passage of 38 days, has not yet constituted a medical board and conducted the autopsy of one Mohammad Ali alias Osman of Kandh Kot, who was allegedly killed by the old CIA Saddar personnel.
The Sindh Chief Justice Syed Saeed Ashhad following an appeal by the widow of the deceased, who was assisted by the Pasban, ordered the judicial magistrate, 8th South, Anwarul Hasan Siddqui, to conduct judicial inquiry into the incident.
The district and session Judge, Aga Rafiq Ahmad Khan, had ordered the judicial magistrate to visit KundhKot to collect the evidence.
The judge also directed the Sindh health secretary to order the medico legal officer, KundhKot, to extend help to the deputed magistrate in the exhumation of the body.
However, the provincial health department, despite several reminders by the authorities concerned, failed to respond.—PPI
