Nation’s interest supreme: Jamali

ISLAMABAD, Feb 18: Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali said on Tuesday that Pakistan would keep national and Muslim nations’ interest supreme vis-a-vis the US-Iraq standoff.

“The interests of the nation and Muslim Ummah will be kept supreme in the present Gulf crisis,” the prime minister said during a meeting with Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed at the PM House here.

Mr Jamali said keeping in view the gravity of the situation he was taking into confidence the country’s political leadership and people belonging to various walks of life. He said he would soon start visiting ministries and divisions to receive briefings for improving their efficiency to solve people’s problems at their doorstep.—APP
