Students urged to get modern knowledge

KOHAT, Feb 17: General officer commanding of the 7th division, Maj-Gen Nazakat Ali Khan, has asked students to keep themselves abreast with the modern knowledge of computer science and said it will enable them to face the new challenges in life.

Speaking at a function in connection with the ninth parents day of the Garrison Cadet College, he stressed the need for quality education for making the future of the country safe and prosperous.

“In this way we can survive the challenges of the new century and keep pace with the developed nations with honour and dignity,” he said.

The principal of the college, Brig Tariq Saeed, presented the annual report of the institution, which was followed by a march past, gymnastics and distribution of trophies among students who excelled in various faculties.

The GOC of 9th division, Maj-Gen Tahir Khan, exalted the achievements of the Army Public School and College, speaking as chief guest at its parents day.
