QUETTA, Feb 17: Balochistan Governor Abdul Quadir said on Monday that he has no plan to interfere in the administrative powers that the chief minister and his cabinet were enjoying under the Constitution.
However, he would fulfil his responsibilities as constitutional head of the province, he said while talking to the provincial cabinet members and secretaries.
“I will make sure that there is no violation of the Constitution and all affairs of the province are run according to it” the governor remarked.
He said policy making and preparation of development projects was the prerogative of the provincial government and implementation of the schemes was the responsibility of the secretaries of the departments concerned.
“Our objective should be the development of the province and we all should make joint efforts for bringing Balochistan at par with the developed provinces,” he said.
The governor said he would help the provincial government in seeking development funds from the federal government and international institutions.
He urged the ministers and secretaries to spend development funds honestly so that maximum benefit should be taken from the limited available resources of the province.
