18 killed in 2 accidents

RAWALPINDI, Feb 16: Eighteen people were killed and 28 others injured in two different road accidents in Rawalpindi and Attock districts on Sunday, police said.

In the first incident, 10 people, including four women, were killed and 25 others injured when a Hafizabad-bound passenger bus (MNQ-8280) coming from Rawalpindi collided with a truck (GTB- 3881) coming from opposite direction on GT Road near Mandra, at 2:30pm, the police said.

In the second incident, eight people, including two women and two children, were killed on the spot and three others injured when a Sargodha-bound bus (Sargodha-4551) coming from Fatehjhang, collided head-on with a car (KKA-4), near Dhoke Sayadan, Attock District.
