Hashim upsets Chen to lift title
BIRMINGHAM, Feb 16: Malaysia’s unseeded Hafiz Hashim caused a major upset when he stunned world number one and defending champion Chen Hong of China 17-14 15-10 to win the All-England badminton title on Sunday.
Chen produced some of his best badminton early on to lead 14-9 in the first game. But Hashim saved five game points to snatch the advantage and then raced away to clinch the title.—Reuters
