ABBOTTABAD, Feb 16: A young boy died when he was hit by a stray bullet fired accidentally from the rifle of a constable of Abbottabad district jail here on Saturday.
The victim, Yasir, son of Mohammad Rafique, was playing in the ground adjacent to the district prison when he received the bullet and died on the spot.
The bullet was fired accidentally from the official rifle of constable Younis while he was cleaning it inside the jail.
The city police registered the case and arrested Younis. He was produced before the judicial magistrate who remanded him in police custody for three days.
