HYDERABAD, Feb 16: Speakers at a literary gathering, held here on Sunday, stressed the need for translating modern literature of other languages into Sindhi language.

The function was organized by the Rooh-i-Rehan in connection with the launching of a book “Insaan ji Tarikh”, written by Dr Habibullah Siddiqui, at the residence of Hamid Sindhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Ibrahim Joyo said history of man had many facets which needed to be explored.

He emphasized the need for studying human evolution.

He praised Dr Siddiqui for his efforts to investigate the origin of man.

Dr Ghulam Ali Allana said anthropology department should be established in universities and theories about the origin of man should be studied.
