LARKANA, Feb 15: One person was killed and nine others were injured in a clash between Bhutto and Mithani tribesmen here on Saturday.

Heavy police force was deployed to control the situation as tension gripped the area.

According to the DPO, on Friday, a minor girl, Sapna Mithani, was injured after she was hit by a motorcycle and when the motorcyclist, Abid Bhutto, tried to take the girl to hospital, the Mithanis presumed he was kidnapping the girl.

The situation worsened when some Mithanis went to the Ghulam Bhutto village and harassed the Bhuttos.

On Friday night, the rival groups exchanged fire, resulting into injuries to Jawed Mithani, a local leader of the PML-Q, Jawed Bhutto, Mohammad Waris, Abid, Irfan and Aamir.

On Saturday, some persons forced shopkeepers of the Bhutto clan to shut their business which again resulted in exchange of fire.

Nabi Bakhsh Bhutto was killed in the firing, and his brother, Ghulam Akbar, Mohammad Ramzan, Shafi Mohammad and the SHO of the Dari police station, Safdar Abbasi, were injured.

The injured were admitted to the Chandka Medical College Hospital.
