HYDERABAD: Power shutdown

HYDERABAD, Feb 15: Hesco on Saturday notified that due to the maintenance work, the power supply from 132kv Sanghar grid station, 66kv Jamrao head works and 66kv Kandiaro grid station would remain suspended from 8:00am to 11:30am on Feb 16.

The power supply from 132kv Tando Mohammad Khan grid station will also remain suspended from 9am to 2pm.

Meanwhile, the Hesco chief executive directed the superintending engineer, operation circle-II, and executive engineers of the circle to hold open kutchehris every Monday to solve problems of consumers.

The revenue staff and other officials concerned would also remain present in the open kutchehris.

On Feb 17, open kutchehris will be held at offices of the superintending engineer, Kotri, executive engineers of Kotri, Tando Mohammad Khan and Dadu, and the Memon Hall, Hyderabad.

WATER BILLS: The Wasa has extended the last date for payment of water bills of January up to Feb 18.

CONFERENCE: The University of Sindh has finalized arrangements for holding conference on “Economic Rights and Social Justice: New Political Agenda for Pakistan”.

Five sessions on different topics will be held in the two-day conference.

Federal Industries and Production Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi will inaugurate the conference, which is being organized by the faculty of social sciences of the university, on Feb 19 at the Institute of Sindhology. Federal Education Minister Zubaida Jalal will be the chief guest at the concluding session.
