Salesman killed by camel

LAHORE, Feb 14: A 20-year-old salesman died when a camel bit him on his neck in New Anarkali on Wednesday.

Reports said Akbar went to see his owner Rafiq at his house in Dhobi Mandi where his (Rafiq’s) camel, tied outside the house, bit Akbar who was entering the house.

He received neck injuries and was taken to the Mayo Hospital where he died.

The body was handed over to the family without autopsy.

SHOT DEAD: A passerby was killed in a crossfire between two rival groups in Misri Shah on Friday.

Police said rival groups —Baloch and Aslam Khan— exchanged firing over extortion, trapping passer-by Shahid, 30.

Shahid was grievously injured and taken to the Mayo Hospital where he died. He is survived by a wife and two children.

Police have registered a case against the accused Baloch group.

POISONOUS LIQUOR: A man died after taking poisonous liquor in Shahdara Town on Wednesday.

Arshad, 40, reportedly fell unconscious after taking poisonous liquor. He was admitted to the Mayo Hospital where he died.
