KARACHI, Feb 14: Sindh Minister for Population Welfare and Women Development Dr Saeeda Malik on Friday paid tribute to Sardar Abdul Rab Nishtar.
At a programme, organized by the PML(Q) workers, in connection with the anniversary of Sardar Abdul Rab Nishtar at Muslim League House, she said workers in any party or organisation serve as a backbone.
The workers on this occasion pledged to follow the footsteps of Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar and continue to serve the country.
The minister said Pakistan was achieved as a result of sacrifices by the Muslims and now its protection is the responsibility of all of us.
She urged the party workers to demonstrate discipline and be tolerant. There is dire need for preparing a committed workforce, she said.
On this occasion, Shahabuddin Shah, Azad Bin Haider, Khurshid Alam Siddiqi, Akram Nawaz, Mohammed Saleem, Abdus Salam, Jameel Azhar, Niaz Malik, Shahid Nishtar, Dr Sultana Ibrahim and others also spoke on the life and achievements of Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar and paid homage to the great leader.
Earlier, a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League (Q), led by Azad Bin Haider, visited the Mazar of Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar, offered Fateha and laid a floral wreath there.—APP
