KARACHI, Feb 11: The Governor of Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ibad has said that Pakistan had come into being as a result of the supreme sacrifices by the Muslims of South Asia and we should follow the Sunnat-i-Ibrahim (AS) to make our homeland stable, prosperous and a truly Islamic state.
In his message on the occasion of Eidul Azha, the governor said that while celebrating the religious festival and keeping its sacred traditions in view, the followers should refresh the real spirit of Uswa-i-Ibrahimi (AS).
He said: “We should learn a lesson from the example of obedience set by the holy prophet, Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) who did not hesitate in sacrificing his son; and should take care of the poor and needy of our society on this occasion.”
