CAA body okays 11 contracts

LAHORE, Feb 10: The Merit and Transparency Committee of the Civil Aviation Authority on Monday cleared 11 contracts for commercial ventures at new airport terminal complex.

The five-member committee, which met here with CAA director-general Air Marshal Salim Arshad in the chair, cleared the contracts for close circuit TV (commercial), cargo through put, book shop at concourse hall at departure level, foreign currency exchange booth at international arrival lounge, refreshment counters in concourse halls at departure and arrival levels, snack bar at concourse halls at departure and arrival levels, advertisement rights at domestic and international lounges and sweet shop.

Air Marshal Arshad said the commercialization plan was presented to the committee on December 8, 2001, which approved it in principle and then got the plan approved from the CAA board.
