KARACHI, Feb 10: Eight ships carrying containers and crude oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships were berthed after the departure of two. They are: Izumo, Meed Keelung, to unload and load containers, Spring Greek and Sabine Eagle, to unload soyabean oil and Cloudine to offload high speed diesel.

Two ships, Kota Tegap and Jamila departed, while Leopard, Mercs Kirinda, Kota Wangi, Izumo, Trade Eternity, Cloudine, Sabine Eagle, Simar Bahar and APL Portugal are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow owing to lesser calling made by the oil tankers. The total tonnage fell to 30,179 tons comprising 2,853 tons of export cargo and 27,326 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Kota Wangi, Mar Challenger, Sima Bahar, Dubai, APL Portugal and Sinar Bontang to unload and load containers, Torm Margrethe, with crude oil and W.S. Berber, with high speed diesel.—APP
