AL QUDS, Feb 9: Three Palestinian were killed in an attack on an Israeli army post guarding a Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, Israeli medical sources said.
The three were killed when a car pulled up at a checkpoint guarding the Gush Katif settlement block and one of the attackers opened fire.
The car then rammed a concrete barrier guarding the position and exploded, security sources said.
Israeli emergency services working in the settlement block said they had found the bodies of three Palestinians at the scene.
Four Israeli soldiers were slightly injured in the attack, an army spokesman said.
The latest deaths bring the toll of more than 28 months of the Palestinian intifada to 2,933, including 2,188 Palestinians and 689 Israelis.—AFP
