LARKANA, Feb 6: Workers of the Pakistan Labour Federation, Hotel Workers’ Union, pensioners of the defunct Larkana Municipal Corporation and the Sindh Social and Cultural Organization staged separate rallies to press for the acceptance of their demands.

Pensioners have been protesting for the past 20 days for the payment of their dues, stuck up for the past 10 months.

Mohammed Ali Shaikh, talking on behalf of the pensioners, accused the LMC management of denying them payments despite receiving instructions from the district Nazim.

Meanwhile, the hotel workers accused their leaders of having deprived them of their right to be accommodated in the newly- constructed residential quarters.
