Two women injured in Indian firing

MUZAFFARABAD, Feb 5: A woman and a teenaged girl were injured as Indian troops shelled Neelum valley villages in district Muzaffarabad without provocation on Wednesday, police said.

The shelling which coincided with the Kashmir Solidarity Day targeted the lower belt of Neelum valley located along the restive Line of Control in the northeast of the AJK capital, a police official said.

The worst hit villages were Barian, Salkhala, and Lesva bypass, he added.

The shelling left Nargis Bibi, wife of Raja Nasim Khan, and Zammurad, 14, daughter of Mohammad Riaz critically wounded in Salkhala village, the official said.
