CEC rejects appeal
ISLAMABAD, Feb 4: Chief Election Commissioner Irshad Hassan Khan on Tuesday rejected the appeal of a PML-Q candidate for Senate, Amna Asghar, against the rejection of her nomination papers.
Ms Asghar had appealed against the decision of Returning Officer Qazi Mohammad Saleem Akhtar, who had rejected her nomination papers on the basis of comments of Punjab University regarding her educational qualification.—Staff Reporter
